What is the need
for a skill development program?
As per the report of 2014, India's skilled workforce is significantly less. Additionally, there is considerable unemployability among the educated Indian youth. Due to a lack of proper training, people cannot cope with the changing technologies in the market. India faces a high level of employment due to the lack of training.
- There will be a need for
skilled workers by the end of 2022 across 24 key sectors.
- Casual workers are poorly
skilled as they do not get adequate training facilities.
- Vocational education courses
need to change.
- Changing technology is the
biggest problem faced by the workers. Thus, the Skill development program will provide the
required training to the workers.
- Lack of infrastructure in
the current training institutes.
